Warped Cherry Wooden Pot #3
This is the third pot turned from a Cherry tree that fell close to my home in 2023. Turned whilst it was green (i.e. still wet), this pot has a tapered design.
As the pot dried out following the turning, this piece was left to warp to its final shape - a slight wave and warp to the rim. This once-turned method of green woodturning lets the wood find its own equilibrium and final shape.
Once turned and dried, I used a hook knife to add a texture all the way around this piece. For a visual and tactile appeal.
With its natural form, the wooden Cherry pot helps to add interest - both visual and tactile - that complements any room decor.
