Warped Cherry Wooden Pot #1

£45.00
Sold

This wood was locally grown and felled in 2023. Turned whilst the Cherry time was still green (i.e. wet), this piece has been shaped with an elegant 'Bell Beaker' inspired design.

Handturned from Cherry, this pot has a shape influenced by the artistry of the Bell Beaker culture - an ancient European civilization that flourished during the Late Neolithic and Early Bronze Age.

The slight warping of the shape is a result of the wood being left to dry after it was turned. It also left a slight wobble. This once-turned method of green woodturned allows the wood to find its own equilibrium.

With its simple curved design, this wooden pot offers a stylish touch of sophistication to any table or shelf. Making it a striking piece of interior decoration. The natural form of the wood adds interest, creating a visual focal point that complements any room decor.
